Floral Print Pants with Hem Detail - BurdaStyle 08-0219 #107

“I must have flowers, always, and always.” ― Claude Monet I love flowers, and floral prints. Perhaps it's because I have never had much success with gardening. I swear I can kill any flower or plant without even trying :-( So when I saw this big bold floral fabric while picking up patterns at Hobby Lobby I knew I wanted to sew myself a pair of summer pants! If I can't grow them, I'll wear them. The fabric was in the clearance section last fall at my local Hobby Lobby. I'm not of the fiber content, but it feels like a lightweight cotton canvas. Honestly, I'm not sure if it was meant for home decor or not. And I don't care. I envisioned pants as soon as I saw the print. I choose to use a BurdaStyle pant pattern as 1) I have years worth of magazines so I have a lot of choices and 2) the draft of the pant has always fit me well.
