Do not sew while sleepy - reason number two

What's wrong with this picture?

Double bonus points if you noticed that one dart is sewn right sides together while the other is sewn wrong sides together.

Sigh.

It happens to the best of us no matter how long we've been doing this sewing thing.

  1. You are so right, Sharon. I hope you got a good nights sleep and then you sew again today.

  2. Not that I'm happy about your mistake, but it's a little nice to know that even experienced sewers still make them :)

  6. My "duh" sewing mistake: I went to cut out a skirt, pinned the pattern piece down with the straight edge along the selvage, started cutting and realized that the grainlines didn't go that way. I had to go buy more fabric. We all do it sometimes.

  7. D'oh! At least it was the lining. Reminded me of the last time I did that. And this morning when I serged two pieces together that did not belong together. Sigh.
