Lining, buttons and thread

Lining, buttons and thread.

That's all that was on the list.

Lining for a skirt that's in progress. It's another version of McCall's 5431 using stash fabric.

Thread so I can begin sewing a Simplicity 2701 jacket. Using stash fabric. Stash fabric that had no matching thread.

Buttons so I when above jacket is complete I won't have to wait to add it to my closet.

Lining, buttons and thread.

That's all that was on the list.

And I was sticking to the list.

Except when I accidentally walked by the remnant bin and saw some lovely cottons, including some Amy Butler prints.

*Sigh* I forgot the thread. Pin It

  1. Oh well. That's not as bad as me poking buttons all over the eQuilter sale this morning!

  4. No one can just walk by the remnant bin without stopping to see what goodies are lurking there! So you're perfectly excused my dear!

BTW, that AB fabric is SOO very nice. I have to say though, that at my Hobby Lobby they have VERY similar fabric, and it's not AB, for about $5.99-$6.99/yd. Is that a good price for a look alike? Plus there's a 30% off also.

  5. Well I bought lots of fabric this weekend from Fabric.com and Fashion Fabrics Club. I don't think I could walk past Amy Butler on sale either. too bad about the thread. g

  7. Sounds a lot like my shopping trips. So, I HAVE to know, where did you find AB remnants?

  8. I love that you forgot the thread--you were distracted by all the extra loveliness you found. Quite a nice selection:). Happy sewing.

  12. I knew you would all understand :-)

Stacy - I found AB remnants at Treadle Yard Goods, an independent fabric store.

Yaya - the AB usually runs about $10 and up per yard, so that should help you determine if you think the price you found for similar fabric is good or not.

  13. Yeah, well, it happens. Did you get the buttons? Pretty fabrics, though. Well worth the "price" of a lousy spool of thread.
