Puppy Update

My, oh, my how quickly they grow!

Abby was in for her second vet visit today, the one with her first shot, and she now weighs 20 lbs. She's not quite 12 weeks old and because she is so big we sometimes have to remind ourselves that she's still a puppy.

Sophia and Abby are becoming play buddies. We have been enjoying the cheap entertainment since they are hilarious to watch when they play. Sophia will rapidly run figure eights around Abby who can't catch her because, although she is three times Sophia's size, she does not yet have the dexterity or speed that Sophia possesses.

Even though there are six other chews scattered through out the living room this is the one they both wanted. Just like kids...or was it only my kids that were like that?

  2. Haha, nope, my kids too Sharon! Sometimes even my husband, lol. Abby and Sophia are such a contrast in size AND color. Abbys fur looks sooo soft! Thanks for the update, keep posting them! xoxo

  3. Sophia and Abby look hilarious tugging on that chew. What a couple of screwballs! Abby is adorable - everytime you post a photo of her, I get pangs of puppy lust. Do me a favour and rub her round little puppy belly!

  5. OMG - how cute! They do grow fast. And no, your kids were not the only ones. But at least you have some experience on how to handle that. It must be easier with the dogs. ;)

  6. I love dogs. Big ones. Little ones. In-between ones. But I gotta say, when I walk my two 12 and 20-pound Lhasa Apsos, and need two hands to rein them in, I don't think I could manage a 90-pound one! Love the photos, my 2 play an interesting game of each switching to the other's chew when they're half chewed!?? Would love to know what is in their little doggy minds!

  7. Sharon, Abby is a doll! Sophia is training her right, I hope? My dogs do the same thing with chews and the kids did the same with toys! g
