Butterick 4849 is done!

Yea! Okay, I fibbed. It's almost done...just need to decide on the length I want and hem it up. It seems as if this has been on my "to-do" list for quite some time, but actually, I didn't begin sewing it until the end of August. Oh wait, that's right, it's already October isn't it?

You know, I was stuck. I just couldn't decide what I wanted to do on the neckband and ended up sewing on this piece of trim after the dress was completed. I think I'll end up hemming it about 3 inches from where it is right now. You can read my full review of the pattern on patternreview. Since I've got the fit down on this one, I'm going to see what else may be lurking in my stash that I could use for this dress. This pattern's a keeper. Pin It

  1. Sharon - I came here from DressaDay to see your Duro. It's beautiful the way it is! If you haven't shortened it yet, may I suggest thinking about leaving it long? The long line of the skirt is really beautiful and flattering. And that's a lovely dressy fabric, so it would be appropriate.

(PS I couldn't comment here without signing in, which meant I had to sign up to have a blog, and set it up, and do my first post, just to write this comment! Three hours later…)

  2. That is so pretty! I love the fabric!

  3. I commented on your dress at PR. I really like this Butterick pattern better than McCall's. Your dress looks great.
